Fire and Ice Storytelling Workshop, Tonbridge

All workshops for adults can include a storytelling or poetry performance, but primarily foster a creative space in which participants are invited to respond to, explore, and narrate stories themselves. The aim of the work is to facilitate story fluency, providing participants with narrative tools to express their own relationships to stories, words and worlds.

Story Fluency
Story fluency workshops are introductory storytelling workshops for adults. Exploring the stories that surround and create us, they are a space to improve confidence and self-expression: a playful, creative and serious space for story.

Eco-storytelling

  • What stories can we tell about our changing planet?
  • Can stories of other worlds draw us more deeply home?

Embedded in our fairy tales is a complex and ever-shifting engagement with the wild world. Eco-storytelling workshops use fairy tales as a space to explore where and with-whom we are. They are particularly appropriate for environmental leaders, change facilitators, and anyone with an interest in holding space to narrate and navigate environmental change.

BodyTelling
How can fairy tales facilitate exploration of bodies, desires, and worlds?

If fairy tales are quests to find true love, then can they be told – and re-told, to explore our own relation to our passions, desires, and physical selves? Drawing on my own training as a bodywork facilitator, I run bodytelling workshops for adults and young adults as a creative and safe space in which participants are invited to enter the skin of the story and reflect on their own relationships by entering other worlds.
